Detroit Tigers lead-off man Austin Jackson is developing into one of the game's best top-of-the-lineup hitters.

Why is that?

Well, for one, he's more patient at the plate, as Bless You Boys' Rob Rogacki points out in a recent post on the Tigers blog.

Rogacki includes .gifs of examples that support his two-strike theory. It'll be interesting to see if Rogacki tracks Jackson's tendencies when in the hole to a pitcher.

Jackson is hitting .393 with a .448 on-base percentage thus far.
