Davison's Maverick Prine among Michigan's Louisville Slugger All-Americans
Davison Cardinals baseball coach Timm Rye, like most coaches in Michigan, is still waiting to get his roster in order.
However, there's one "special player" that area prep baseball fans should pay attention to, and that's Maverick Prine, Davison's senior star right-handed pitcher and shortstop.
Prine notched a 7-0 record in 2012 and was recently named to Louisville Slugger's All-American High School team (preseason).
Prine, also a football standout, isn't the only Michigander in the mix, as a group of other Great Lakes stars were also given the prestigious recognition from one of the most trusted names in baseball.
Here's a quick look at who made the cut:
Brad Schaenzer, LHP, Lake Orion HS
Carmen Benedetti, 1B, Grosse Pointe South HS
Matt Ruppenthal, RHP, Brother Rice HS
Nicholas Deeg, LHP/1B, Lake Orion HS
