Ross Maghielse of The Flint Journal recently published a Flint-area baseball preview that takes a good look at the county's big boys: Davison, Mt. Morris, Goodrich, New Lothrop and Powers, just to name a few.
For the sake of saving time, I'll condense it for you in a handful of short paragraphs and then link to it so you can read the preview in its entirety.
Davison is going to be good. So will Maverick Prine, a senior and Louisville Slugger Pre-Season All-American.
Mt. Morris has Kelsey Sorenson, one of the best pitchers in Mid-Michigan. The Panthers will be good.
Goodrich will be good.
Powers has Ethan Wiskur. Enough said.
New Lothrop is ranked No. 4 in Division 4 and will beat your old high school team.
Grand Blanc was projected as the No. 1 team in the area. I don't agree with that, but the Bobcats are typically strong and will be one of the county's top-tier clubs.
If I had to rank the No. 1 team in the county, it'd be Davison, hands down.
Anyhow, here's Maghielse's preview. Read it. Enjoy it. Go throw a ball with someone.
