It seems that Ross Magheilse of The Flint Journal has been busy with baseball previews lately. The local writer recently published a piece on the Grand Blanc Bobcats varsity team, coached by JD Wheeler.

The Bobcats are considered one of the Flint-area's top teams. Personally, I'd like to see the Bobcats join the Saginaw Valley League so that way they can compete against Davison, Powers, Carman-Ainsworth and other old foes like Flushing on a regular basis.

However, they play in the talented KLAA, which encompasses southern areas like Livingston and Washtenaw counties.

Grand Blanc defeated Davison in the playoffs this past season but should be as formidable as ever with seniors Thomas Daffern and Sean Ritchey leading the way.

Magheilse uses his team of the week piece to look at team traditions, jokes and other areas. It's a good read and nice view into the Bobcats program.
